Here are several distinct Neurons, rendered in photorealistic and stylized fashion. I created a tool in Houdini to enable me to generate these Neurons. To achieve this I used the "Find Shortest Paths" SOP on a cylinder and instanced a sphere at the start point. I used attribute wrangles to define a jitter for my end points to randomize the result and using a Group SOP I designated paths as either axons or dendrites.
